Scene 1 : Putri Pukes

"“Putri Pukes” is a traditional folktale from Aceh, Indonesia, about a beautiful and kind-hearted girl named Putri Pukes who lives happily with her beloved mother. When Putri Pukes grows up, she falls in love and decides to marry the man she loves. Although her mother feels sad because she does not want to be separated from her daughter, she eventually gives her blessing. After getting married, Putri Pukes leaves her home with her husband. Along the way, she begins to miss her mother and regrets leaving her. She cries as she remembers the love and care her mother gave her. According to the legend, her sadness and tears lead to a magical event that turns Putri Pukes into stone. The story of Putri Pukes teaches us about the deep love between a mother and her child, the importance of appreciating our parents, and the consequences of leaving home without being prepared for the changes that come with it."
