Characters
Merah Silu (later Sultan Malikussaleh): The protagonist. A powerful leader and warrior in Pasai, initially known for his might but who learns humility through spiritual intervention. The Giant Ant (Semut Raksasa): A powerful, symbolic creature of immense strength that appears on a hill. A Wise Advisor/Elder: A mentor figure who guides Merah Silu toward understanding and faith.
Setting
The wilderness and forests surrounding Pasai, North Aceh, during the period leading to the establishment of the first Islamic Kingdom in Southeast Asia (13th Century).
Conflict
Man vs. Nature/Self: While hunting, the powerful leader Merah Silu encounters a giant ant on a hill that proves to be undefeatable by force. Military might and physical power are useless against it. The conflict is Merah Siluās pride versus the humbling limitation of human strength. He seeks wisdom to understand this phenomenon.
Ending
Resolution: After receiving a spiritual vision and converting to Islam (becoming Sultan Malikussaleh), the Sultan revisits the ant hill. He realizes that even the smallest creatures have God-given strength. Instead of conquering the ant, he decides to build his new capital on that very spot, naming the kingdom "Samudera" (derived from 'Semut', meaning ant), which later became the Samudera Pasai Kingdom. He rules with wisdom and piety.
Reflection
"Arrogance leads to a leaderās downfall, while humility is the foundation of a lasting legacy. True strength is not found in military might, but in respect for all creations and devotion to wisdom. It teaches us that great empires are built not by force, but by faith and humility."
