Reflection

"Long ago, in the Aceh Sultanate, there lived a brave woman named Keumalahayati, who later became known as Admiral Malahayati. She was born into a family with a strong military and naval background. From a young age, she learned about leadership, discipline, and the importance of defending her homeland. Malahayati's life changed when her husband died in a battle against the Portuguese. Instead of giving up because of her loss, she turned her sadness into strength. She gathered women who had also lost their husbands in battle and formed Inong Balee, a group of women who were trained to defend Aceh. In 1599, Dutch ships led by Cornelis de Houtman arrived in Aceh. Tensions between the Dutch and the Aceh Sultanate eventually led to a battle. Malahayati bravely led the Inong Balee forces to fight against the Dutch fleet. During the battle, Cornelis de Houtman was killed, while his brother, Frederick de Houtman, was captured. Malahayati was not only a brave military leader but also a skilled diplomat. Her courage, intelligence, and loyalty made her an important figure in Aceh's history. Her story shows that women can become strong leaders and make important contributions to their communities. Today, Malahayati is remembered as a National Hero of Indonesia. Her story teaches us that courage, resilience, leadership, and love for our homeland can inspire future generations. Main message: “True courage is not about having no fear, but about standing strong and doing what is right, even in difficult times.”"
