Setting

The “Rumoh Aceh” we're talking about is located in the Langsa (protected forest).

Conflict

*The conflict in Rumoh Aceh story = Tradition vs. Modernity.* Rumoh Aceh is strong and survived the tsunami, but people no longer build it because it's *expensive and takes a long time.* So the real conflict is *forgetting*. If the house disappears, the ancestors' wisdom on how to survive disappears too.

Ending

Regrettably... today, fewer and fewer people build Rumoh Aceh. Because it costs more. It takes longer. People choose concrete because it's faster. But then... 2004 happened. And after the tsunami, architects from all over the world came to Aceh. Not to teach us... but to _learn from us._ They realized — Rumoh Aceh had been teaching disaster mitigation, 400 years before the word even existed.

Reflection

"The Wisdom of Rumoh Aceh is an architectural documentary about the traditional Acehnese stilt house that survived the 2004 tsunami without nails. Built in 1773 and once owned by Uleebalang Teuku Panglima Ismail as a war strategy hall against the Dutch, Rumoh Aceh embodies three philosophies: safety, faith, and unity. This film explores its anatomy, sacred details, and the current conflict between tradition and modernity, reminding us that this house is not just a building, but our first teacher on how to survive."
